Le 1544: a bistronomique restaurant in Bordeaux
On the first floor of Le Gabriel, Le 1544 is a hymn to dreams and reveries.
The bistro owes its name to La Ferme 1544, which supplies it with fruit, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, poultry, and more. A nod and a tribute to a veritable oasis of biodiversity covering over nine hectares along the banks of the Dordogne in Saint-Loubès, just 30 minutes from Bordeaux.
With murals depicting vineyard landscapes, vaulted windows, period beams and an intimate ambiance, Le 1544 is an ideally warm and convivial setting. In fine weather, tables are available on the sunny terrace overlooking the Place de la Bourse and the Three Graces Fountain.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner

It promises a moment of sweet nostalgia, not unlike Proust’s infamous madeleine, in dishes with irresistible scents and desserts to rouse sweet cravings…
Every week, lunchtime features a “market menu” developed in close collaboration with La Ferme 1544: seasonal poultry and vegetables inspire dishes that are as delicious as they are generous.
